We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established automotive dealership in Bury St Edmunds , offering an excellent opportunity to lead a successful aftersales operation while driving performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The Role As Service Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Service Department, leading and developing a high-performing team of Service Advisors, Technicians, and Workshop Controllers. You’ll ensure operational excellence, deliver an outstanding customer experience, and consistently achieve departmental targets.
Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and develop the Service Department team. Drive workshop productivity, efficiency, and profitability. Monitor and improve customer satisfaction and retention. Ensure manufacturer standards and compliance are maintained.
Manage departmental budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting. Handle escalated customer queries professionally and effectively. Work closely with other departments to maximise business opportunities. Create a positive, high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For Previous experience as a Service Manager within the automotive industry. Strong leadership and people management skills. Commercially aware with a proven track record of achieving targets. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
